A tugboat or tug is a type of vessel which provides an essential service within our ports and coastal areas, assisting larger vessels to manoeuvre in confined water and berth safely. Along with the primary purpose of towing the vessel towards the harbour, tugboats can also assist in providing essentials such as water, air, etc. to the vessel.
